7ABCs Esports
Grassroots gaming for global good. Indigenous knowledge meets competitive Minecraft.
Who We Are
7ABCs Esports is a youth esports collective based in Tacoma, WA, at the foot of Mount Tahoma (Rainier). We are gamers, gardeners, builders, and researchers — organized around the principle that games can change the world.
Our name comes from 7ABCs.com — a grassroots development platform connecting communities across the globe through education, technology, and cultural exchange.
We compete, we learn, we build. And we do it with Traditional Ecological Knowledge as our foundation.
Quick Facts
Our Mission
"To empower youth through game-based learning grounded in Traditional Ecological Knowledge, connecting Indigenous food sovereignty to digital creativity, so that the children who inherit the Earth know how to feed, clothe, and shelter their communities."
Our First Global Competition
NASEF Farmcraft: Land Demand is our entry point into competitive esports. It is the perfect competition for 7ABCs because it asks the questions we already care about:
How do we feed people?
Challenge 1 asks us to design farms. We bring Indigenous food sovereignty — camas, Three Sisters, First Foods.
How do we clothe people?
Challenge 2 asks about textile crops. We bring Coast Salish fiber technologies — cedar bark, nettle, woolly dogs.
How do we shelter people?
Challenge 3 asks about building materials. We bring longhouse engineering — cedar, fir, tule mat architecture.
Farmcraft is not just a game to us — it is a platform for demonstrating that Indigenous knowledge is the most advanced agricultural science on Earth.
Partnership Network
XiMuRa Tribal Ministries
Our Indigenous knowledge partner. XiMuRa provides the cultural framework, elder guidance, and Traditional Ecological Knowledge that grounds everything we do. Their Living Water OS and Rooted Blueprints documents shape our approach to land, water, and community.
MADF Rising Roots
Our agriculture and community development partner. Rising Roots runs hydroponic farming programs in South Tacoma, responding to the ASARCO smelter plume with soil-free food production. They connect our digital farming to real-world growing.
TEK8 Learning Lotus
Our pedagogical framework. The eight-petal system that structures every session, every build challenge, and every research question. TEK8 bridges Traditional Ecological Knowledge and modern STEAM education through game-based learning.
AgileXPS
Our technical infrastructure partner. AgileXPS provides the server hosting, Minecraft plugin development (WKit), and web platform engineering that makes the digital side of Farmcraft possible. Agile methodology meets Indigenous pedagogy.
